Spice Club - October 2024

Over a decade has passed since members asked us to create a spice club, adding a little extra flavor to recipes paired with our wines and so here are the spices our chefs have been using for our latest Spice Club Recipes.

Tandoori Spice Mix

Tandoori is a spice blend typically used for marinating meat or vegetables before cooking. It's a smoky, slightly sweet, and earthy spice blend that we don't always think of but then love it when we taste it.

Blend with yoghurt to marinate chicken, fish and lamb prior to cooking. This blend is an excellent dry marinade for meats that are to be pan-fried, grilled, roasted or barbecued..

Creole Seasoning

A Louisiana style spice to season meat before cooking. Enhances the flavor of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, eggs, soups, stews, and salads – even barbecue and French fries!

Coat meat to dry marinate for 20 minutes, then pan-fry, grill, barbecue or roast. Add to fried eggs, shrimp, lobster boils, potato salad, jambalaya or practically any creamy dish that needs a little lift!

Guacamole Mix

Adding Herbie's Guacamole Mix with each mashed fresh large avocado makes a heavenly Guacamole.

Herbie's Guacamole Mix works great as a coating for fish tacos or as a fantastic spice base for Ceviche.
