Expanding our wine and food horizons.


For our overseas trips we need to be able to book transportation and hotels for you as well as tell restaurants about your food preferences so we need a little personal information. Please assist by responding to each of the sections on this page.


Questions Applicable to all Tours

Personal information provided here will be treated as confidential and will not be released to anyone else on the trip. Please email here with the following details for each person traveling:

  • Your names, EXACTLY as they appear on your passport.
  • Dates of birth.
  • Where your passports were issued.
  • Each of your individual cell phone numbers.
  • Any food allergies or dietary restrictions.
  • Each of your individual shirt sizes.
  • Name and account number of your healthcare providers.
  • Please let us know about any major health issues or if you are taking any medication.
  • Details of your nearest relative to be contacted in case of an emergency.
  • Your airline, the flight number and the date and time of your arrival in Sydney.
  • Your transfer requirements to an Adelaide hotel or Adelaide Airport following our trip.
NOTE: This information must be submitted by January 1 in the year you intend to travel.

Please write a personal bio which is simply a fun way to give your fellow travelers a quick summary of who you are.

Introduce yourself as if you’re meeting a stranger, tell us about your education, sports or pastimes you enjoy, what kind of work you do and do touch upon your most important accomplishments.

Please email here with a separate bio for each person traveling. This information will be summarized and shared with your fellow travelers on the trip to help introduce you all to each other.


We take care of the itinerary, the hotels, the meals, tips and tax, however we leave getting there and back to you because there are so many en-route destinations of interest and so many airline frequent flyer miles clubs that it's best for you to plan the beginning and end of your trip.

TRAVEL RELEASE - RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

IN CONSIDERATION OF BEING PERMITTED TO PARTICIPATE IN A TRIP OPERATED BY WILLIAM WILLIAMSON DBA WILLIAMSON WINES, LLC, ITS MANAGERS, ITS MEMBERS OR ITS EMPLOYEES (COLLECTIVELY, "THE COMPANY”) EFFECTIVE AS OF THE DATE BELOW, THE UNDERSIGNED, FOR HIMSELF/HERSELF, HIS/HER PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVES, HEIRS, AND NEXT OF KIN:

HEREBY RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES AND AGREES NOT TO SUE THE COMPANY FROM AND FOR ALL LIABILITY TO THE UNDERSIGNED, FOR ANY AND ALL LOSS OR DAMAGE ON ACCOUNT OF INJURY TO THE PERSON OR PROPERTY OR RESULTING IN THE DEATH OF THE UNDERSIGNED ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE COMPANY OR OTHERWISE.

HEREBY AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS THE COMPANY FROM ANY LOSS, LIABILITY, DAMAGE, OR COST HE/SHE MAY INCUR ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE COMPANY OR OTHERWISE.

HEREBY ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE COMPANY OR OTHERWISE.

HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THE ACTIVITIES RELATED TO THE SERVICES MAY BE DANGEROUS AND INVOLVE A RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR DEATH AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. THE UNDERSIGNED, ALSO EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGES THAT ANY INJURIES RECEIVED MAY BE MADE WORSE BY NEGLIGENT RESCUE OPERATIONS OF THE COMPANY OR OTHERWISE.

HEREBY AGREES THAT THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT EXTENDS TO ALL ACTS OF NEGLIGENCE BY THE COMPANY, INCLUDING NEGLIGENT RESCUE OPERATIONS, AND IS INTENDED TO BE AS BROAD AND INCLUSIVE AS IS PERMITTED BY THE LAWS OF THE STATE IN WHICH THE SERVICES ARE CONDUCTED, AND THAT, IF ANY OF THESE TERMS ARE HELD TO BE INVALID OR UNENFORCEABLE, IT IS AGREED THAT THE BALANCE OF THESE TERMS SHALL, NEVERTHELESS, CONTINUE IN FULL LEGAL FORCE AND EFFECT.

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND HAVE SIGNED IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT, ASSURANCE OR GUARANTEE BEING MADE TO ME AND INTEND MY SIGNATURE TO BE A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY TO THE GREATEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW.

Frequently Asked Questions - Australia Tour


U.S. Citizens must have a valid U.S. Passport and a Visa to enter Australia.

NOTE: Regardless of nationality your Passport must be valid for at least six (6) months after arrival date in Australia. Click here to apply or renew a U.S. Passport

U.S. Passport holders traveling to Australia for tourism for less than 90 days should obtain an Electronic Travel Authority which is an electronic Visa and can be obtained at the ETA website for a small service fee. Click here to apply for an ETA Visa


U.S. issued American Express®, Visa, MasterCard® or Diners Club cards are honored throughout Australia however purchases with credit cards in Australia require the use of a personal identification number (PIN) instead of signatures to verify payments.

Your bank or card issuer will provide you with the PIN for your credit or debit card so make sure you have your PIN for each card you intend to use while in Australia.


The weather in mid-March is similar to California at the end of September with daily highs of 80°F and lows of 60°F. There will be a 20% possibility of rain, so dress in "layers" for the trip as it is likely to be hot when you arrive.

Suggested items to pack include hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, swimsuit and walking shoes or flats for the day trips.

Australians are casual by nature and easily accept typical U.S. clothing styles. The Aussie daytime dress code is smart casual with comfortable walking shoes. Jeans and shorts are quite acceptable.

Our evening restaurant dress code is again smart casual. Please no jeans, caps, coats or ties for the guys. Ladies, comfortable late summer chic with just a little jewelry.


Oz Odyssey travelers fly Qantas from Sydney to Adelaide. Qantas baggage restrictions are reasonably firm and you will be responsible for any of your own additional baggage charges.

In Cabin Baggage
  • Two bags of 41 inches; OR
  • one 41 inch bag plus one 73 inch garment bag; OR
  • one 45 inch bag all with a total weight allowance of 15 lbs each.
In Hold Baggage
  • 1 bag to a maximum size of 54 inches (case) and up to of 50 lbs weight.
  • Dimensions above are calculated by adding width, height and depth of the bag.

Once you meet us in Sydney at the specified date and time we cover the Oz Odyssey trip, which concludes in Adelaide. From there you can depart for Sydney, Melbourne or New Zealand, stay in an Adelaide hotel for travel on to Kangaroo Island or pick up a rental car, etc., to continue the solo portion of your Australian vacation.

At the conclusion of the trip our driver will return you to Adelaide airport of if staying on in Adelaide please let us know the name of your destination hotel so our driver can take you there directly.


The trip is only open to eighteen people - double occupancy, so generally nine couples - and takes place in March each year so contact us as soon as possible to secure your place.

Within Australia we will be joined by several of our Australian Sister Winery club members, adding a local Australian perspective. Australians are by nature a happy people who exude a joie de vivre when enjoying good food and wine.

You need to be able to enjoy a wide range of foods and wines. For this reason we do not recommend our trip if you have any food allergies, are vegan or vegetarian or have any problem with tolerance to alcohol.

Our Epicurean Tours through Europe and South American are managed by our partner organization, Food and Wine Trails. All these tours are listed in our Shop on this website. Once you are speaking with a F&WT travel consultant you can book the trip directly through them. They can also help with air travel and transfers on your journey to and from our tour.
Citizens of the United States with a valid US passport can travel to 26 European member countries of the Schengen Area for a maximum of 90 days without having to apply or obtain a Schengen visa for short-term tourism or a business trip. Click for more . . .
The travel policies of various countries, including the US, about requiring foreign nationals to demonstrate proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 remains fluid. By the end of the first quarter of the year we will reassess the requirements of every country we intend to visit and keep you informed.

Our first priority is the safety of our member friends so we will not risk choosing adventure over security. Our relationship with our travel partners is strong and should we decide not to travel at that time we will call upon them to provide viable alternatives to refunds or reapply the fares to a future trip.
