Shrimp Creole

Ingredients

  • Raw Shrimp, peeled and deveined  ·  2 pounds 
  • Butter, cubed  ·  3 tablespoons 
  • Medium Onion, small diced  ·  1 
  • Celery, small diced  ·  2 stalks 
  • Green Bell Pepper, small diced  ·  1 
  • Garlic, minced  ·  3 cloves 
  • can of Tomatoes, diced  ·  14.5 fluid ounces 
  • Herbie's Creole Seasoning  ·  1 1/2 tablespoon 
  • Worcestershire Sauce  ·  1 teaspoon 
  • Bay Leaf  ·  1 
  • Louisiana Hot Sauce  ·  1 teaspoon 
  • bunch Parsley, chopped  ·  1/2 

Instructions

Start by melting the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion, green pepper, celery, garlic and a pinch of salt, and cook and stir for 7-10 minutes until softened.

Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the can of tomatoes with juice, Herbie's Creole Seasoning, Worcestershire sauce and a bay leaf; stir and simmer for 5 minutes allowing flavors to meld. Season with another pinch of salt. If desired add more Herbie's Creole Seasoning.

Turn the heat up to medium-high and add shrimp, cook and stir until shrimp is pink and cooked through. About 5-7 min. Turn off the heat and add 1 teaspoon of Louisiana Hot Sauce and chopped parsley.

Serve immediately over a bed of red beans and rice, pasta, or enjoy on it's own!
