Cheese Club - May 2024

Here are the four flavorful artisanal, handcrafted cheese selections that we have chosen to pair with the wines of May 2024.

Fog Lights ~ Cypress Grove

This dense and fudgy little goat cheese is ash covered and mold ripened and like other soft-ripened cheeses, it continues to ripen from the outside in as it ages.

Jenny's Tip: - Best paired with sundried tomatoes and a fresh baguette, then washed down with a delicious Williamson white wine like Frisky Riesling.

Truffle Cordero ~ Ponce de Leon

Truffle Cordero is a semi-hard sheep’s milk cheese from Spain with an ivory smooth paste kicked up a notch when infused with black summer truffles to ensure that every bite is loaded with flavor!

Jenny's Tip: - Truffle Cordero is perfect for shaving on top of pasta and salad or eating alongside summer fruits and Spanish charcuterie.

Ossau-Iraty

Ossau-Iraty is a lovely, rich, Basque sheep’s milk cheese with a creamy and semi-firm texture. Taste its rich nutty flavor filled with notes of hazelnut, fresh grass and wildflowers.

Jenny's Tip: - Superbly versatile perfect for a cheeseboard with apple slices, breads, jams, or honey.

OG Kristal ~ Van Tricht

This Belgian Gouda is so incredibly popular that most of the wheels brought into the US are already allocated. Fortunately we nabbed a few wheels exclusively for our cheese club members.

Jenny's Tip: - If you love those crunchy bits in aged cheeses you will love this beauty. It has crystals with such a luscious, dense creaminess you think you're eating a salted caramel.
