Rapture Pinot Noir 2022
A Pinot Noir resulting from warm summer days tempered by cool San Francisco Bay breezes to build complexity into a mouth-filling Pinot.
The name Rapture is indicative of being carried away by ecstasy in tasting this overwhelming Pinot Noir.
In the mouth red fruits with flavors of plum and cherry. A nice acidity and tannin structure combine to make it broad in the mouth identifying it as a great food wine.
Our Laguna Ridge vineyard has a balance of Gold Ridge and Altamont soils, encouraging the fruit to develop both excellent concentration and moderate acidity producing wines that are textured and full of dark fruit flavors, particularly blackberry.
Our Green Valley vineyards enjoy a perfect balance of cooling oceanic winds and warm sunshine. Temperatures remain quite low throughout the year, resulting in wines that are high in acidity and full of bright red fruit flavors.
Blending them therefore produces a wine that shows both bright red and dark fruit flavors, good acidity and a wonderful texture.
