Malay Curry Powder

A less sharp-tasting Curry Powder with a brighter, sweeter flavor perfect for children or adults who don't like "hot" spicy food.

Ingredients

  • Herbie's Coriander Seed (ground)  ·  6 teaspoons 
  • Herbie's Cumin Seed (ground)  ·  3 teaspoons 
  • Herbie's Fennel Seed (ground)  ·  3 teaspoons 
  • Herbie's Turmeric, Alleppy (ground)  ·  1 1/2 teaspoon 
  • Herbie's Ginger (ground)  ·  1 teaspoon 
  • Herbie's Cinnamon Quills (ground)  ·  1 teaspoon 
  • Herbie's Pepper Black Asta (ground)  ·  3/4 teaspoon 
  • Herbie's Mustard Seed Yellow (ground)  ·  1/2 teaspoon 
  • Herbie's Cloves (ground)  ·  1/4 teaspoon 
  • Herbie's Cardamom Seed - Green (ground)  ·  1/4 teaspoon 
  • Herbie's Chili Kashmiri (ground)  ·  1/4 teaspoon 

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir well to ensure even distribution.

Transfer to an airtight container and store away from extremes of heat, light and humidity for up to one year.

This is a base Curry Powder that can be used in conjunction with other recipes.
