There is a particular pleasure in arriving in wine country without watching the road. The vineyards come into view, someone else takes care of the journey, and the day ahead belongs to you.
We look forward to the day visitors can step off the train and make themselves at home in Healdsburg.
Right now the train terminates in Windsor, only a short Uber or Lyft ride to Healdsburg so join us for a fun wine country day.
The good news is SMART has secured funding for its extension from Windsor to Healdsburg, with passenger service planned for late 2028.
SMART also stops at Sonoma County Airport where a rental car, rideshare, or taxi, will take approximately 15 minutes to downtown Healdsburg.
SMART train allows bicycles on-board. Currently cyclists utilize a low-stress road link connecting Windsor and Healdsburg, however a continuous, dedicated bike path is currently under development.
