Southern Style French Fries
In this dish old school French fries get the southern comfort food treatment. Easy to make and a really laid back result - yum!
Ingredients
Potatoes

Butter

1 tablespoon
Sour cream

1 tablespoon
Herbies Garlic Powder Granulated
·
2 teaspoons
Herbies Parsley Leaves Rubbed
·
2 teaspoons
Herbies Pepper Black Asta, ground
·
1 teaspoon
Herbies American Spicy BBQ Rub
·
2 tablespoons
Parmesan Cheese
·
1.5 cup
Milk
·
1/2 cup
Mozzarella cheese
·
1.5 cup
Instructions
Peel and boil the potatoes until they are fork tender.
Strain out the water and allow the potatoes to dry, then smash them flat with a fork.
In order add butter, sour cream, garlic powder, parsley flakes, pepper, Spicy BBQ Rub, Parmesan and Mozzarella cheese topping with the milk.
Combine and mash the mixture until it forms a combined paste like consistency.
Place the mixture in a zip lock plastic bag and flatten to about 1/2 inch thick.
Place the flat bag in the freezer for about two hours.
Remove the mixture from the bag keeping it as a 1/2 inch thick flat cake.
Heat vegetable oil 2 inches deep in a pan to 350°
Slice into 1/2 inch wide strips each about 4 inches long, resembling a French fry.
Add the fries and cook until browned and crisp.
Serve immediately.
