Bacon Wrapped Manicotti Pasta

Ingredients

  • (8oz) Manicotti Pasta  ·  1 package 
  • Thinly Sliced Bacon  ·  8 ounces 
  • Ground Beef. raw  ·  8 ounces 
  • Ground Pork, raw  ·  8 ounces 
  • Onion, diced  ·  1 
  • Butter, cubed  ·  5 tablespoons 
  • Garlic, minced  ·  3 teaspoons 
  • Salt  ·  1 tablespoon 
  • Black Pepper  ·  3 teaspoons 
  • Red Pepper Flakes  ·  1 teaspoon 
  • Herbie's Bolognese Seasoning  ·  2 tablespoons 
  • Williamson Wines Zin BBQ Sauce  ·  2 cups 

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet and set aside.

Make the Filling In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except for the bacon and manicotti pasta. Mix with your hands until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Stuff the Shells Gently stuff the manicotti with the mixture from both ends, making sure the shells are completely stuffed and have no meat mixture hanging out.

Next, wrap the thin slices of bacon around each stuffed shell, covering all parts of the shell, including the ends. You may need two slices of bacon.

Brush a little extra Williamson Wines Zin BBQ Sauce over both sides of the stuffed, bacon wrapped shells, place on the prepared baking rack with about 1/8 cup of water underneath the rack. Cover the top with foil and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees then flip each shell and continue to cook, leaving the foil off, for another 15 minutes.
