This fajita seasoning is Herbie's perfect blend to spice up any type of meat for fajitas. Fajitas are a Tex-Mex family favorite. They are made with sauteed capsicum strips plus chicken or beef and adding this Herbies combination of spices with make your fajitas great.
This fajita seasoning has quite mild spice ingredients and is balanced without the white sugar normally found in fajita spice mixtures so it's mild, delicious and healthy.
What makes fajita seasoning different from taco seasoning since the two are similar, but taco seasoning has more chili powder and oregano, while fajita seasoning has more cumin. In general, fajita seasoning is less spicy than taco seasoning
FAJITA
4 capsicums (red, yellow, orange mix) sliced into stripes 1 red onion halved and sliced 2 tablespoons olive oil 600g chicken tenderloins 2 tablespoons Herbie’s Fajita Spice Mix guacamole and soft tortillas to serve Over medium heat, cook capsicum and onion in half the olive oil and 1 teaspoon of spice mix – this will take at least 15 minutes for capsicum to be soft. While cooking, in a large dry pan, toast tortillas for 30 seconds each side and wrap in a tea towel. Heat remaining oil, and add chicken with remainder of spice mix. Cook, stirring for 8-10 minutes until cooked through; season with salt to taste. Serve tortillas on the table with chicken, capsicum Serves 4.
