The lush style of our Cuvee Blanc simulates Chenin Blanc and is an wonderful California example of a Loire Valley Vouvray Sec.
In the glass an inviting golden color. On the nose a lovely fresh spring floral bouquet ending with a just a waft of honeysuckle. In the mouth a nice hint of fruit flavor, perhaps white peach and honeydew melon.
Textbook medium acidity and the driest (Sec) level, having less than 4 grams per liter of residual sugar, along with a nice mineral core makes Caress a very food-friendly wine.
Three beautiful white wines blended to make a Loire Valley Chenin Blanc style wine. This blend of 55% Viognier, 37% Roussanne and 8% Semillon are well proportioned so all the best flavor characteristics of each are revealed but non one dominates the palate.
Some new French oak with the majority being neutral Burgundy barrels.
