Caress Cuvée Blanc
A white wine blend created by Bill beginning with the 2010 harvest - a Caress of Roussanne and Sémillon.
Magnificent nose and delicious full mouth feel. If you liked Pinot Gris before once you taste Caress you will never go back.
Unbelievable. Roussanne is a white wine grape originally grown in the Rhône wine region in France, where it is often blended with other Rhône wines. Wines made from Roussanne are characterized by their intense aromatics which can include floral notes of herbs and fruit such as pear, which become more nutty as the wine ages.
Sémillon is a golden-skinned grape used to make dry and sweet white wines. Sémillon is one of only three approved white wine varieties in the Bordeaux region where it is key to the production of Sauternes.
Blended together these two form a Cuvée, a cross-appellation blend containing an incredible breadth and depth of aroma and flavors including pear, apple, lemon and peach intertwined with a nice mineral core hinting at the food friendly nature of this wine.
Perfect for oysters, foie gras, or fruit dessert. Try poaching pears in the wine for a poached pear salad or poached pear with honey and ice cream - simple and delicious.
