Spiced Pear Fritter
These fritters feature a soft interior with tender pear flavor, fried to golden perfection and dusted with powdered sugar then drizzled with caramel sauce - Yum!

Honey

1/8 cup
Corn Syrup
·
1/8 cup
Eggs
·
2 whole
Vanilla Extract
·
3/4 teaspoon
All-Purpose Flour
·
2 cups
Herbie's Quatre Epices - Sweet
·
1/2 teaspoon
Salt
·
1/2 teaspoon
Baking Powder
·
3/4 teaspoon
Buttermilk
·
1 cup
Melted Butter
·
1/8 cup
Fresh Pears, small diced
·
2 whole
Instructions
Preheat tabletop fryer to 350F.
Begin recipe by creaming together sugar, honey and corn syrup in a stand mixer using the paddle attachment on medium speed.
After paddling for 3-5 minutes, add in eggs and vanilla.
Continue to paddle and add in all-purpose flour, Herbie’s Quatre Epices – Sweet and baking powder. Keep paddling until combined then add in buttermilk, melted butter and small diced pears.
Once fryer is up to temperature, use a 2 oz ice cream scoop and gently drop batter into fryer.
Fry fritter batter portions in small batches of four for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from fryer and allow to cool on metal wire resting rack.
To serve, lightly dust fritters with powdered sugar and drizzle with caramel sauce or use your favorite fruit compote for dipping and enjoy.
