In a heavy bottomed pot or large skillet over medium high heat, cook the onion and garlic in olive oil until fragrant. Then add ground beef and Italian sausage. Season with Herbie's Italian Seasoning, salt and pepper.
Once the meat is browned, add the tomato paste, marinara sauce, chicken broth, heavy cream and bring to a boil.
After the soup is at a consistent boil; break up the dried lasagna noodles into smaller bite sized pieces and add them to a pot. Cook the pasta in the soup according the time on the packaging until al dente.
Finish by adding the grated parmesan cheese and basil. Let everything cook for a few minutes until everything is well incorporated. Serve with more grated or shaved parmesan on top. Enjoy!
