Instant Pot Pork Ribs

Instant Pot Ribs is the easiest way to achieve tender, juicy BBQ ribs. Whether you're using baby back ribs or pork loin ribs, pressure cooking tenderizes the meat in a fraction of the time so you can enjoy homemade ribs even on busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • Apple Juice  ·  6 cups
  • Apple Cider Vinegar  ·  1/4 cup
  • BBQ Sauce  ·  1/3 cup
  • Pork Ribs  ·  4 pounds
  • Seasoning salt  ·  1 tablespoon
  • Herbie's American Spicy BBQ Rub  ·  2 tablespoons

Instructions

Start by prepping your ribs. Baby Back Ribs and Pork Loin ribs typically already have the silver skin on the meat side trimmed and the membrane on the boney side removed. If they are present, use a small knife to loosen it at the corner and a paper towel to help grip and pull it off of the ribs. You want to remove that so the flavors can penetrate the ribs.

Rub the ribs with seasoning salt and Herbie's American Spicy BBQ Dry Rub.

Combine apple juice, vinegar, 1/3 cup bbq sauce in the instant pot.

Coil the ribs inside the pot, cover and cook on high pressure 25 minutes followed by a 10-minute natural pressure release.

Remove ribs, brush the finished ribs with sauce on all sides. Broil or grill on medium-high heat about 5 minutes until some of the sauce is browned and sticky.

Instant Pot Corn on the Cob!

While you are grilling to finish the ribs you can make an easy vegetable side dish by making Instant Pot Corn on the Cob!

Stack the ears of corn in the pot. Close the lid and set the steam release knob to the sealing position.

Press the Pressure Cook/Manual button or dial, then the + or - button or dial to select 2 minutes (3 to 4 minutes for unshucked corn).

When the cooking cycle is finished, turn the steam release knob to the Venting position to do a Quick Release of the pressure. When the pin in the lid drops down, open the lid and carefully remove the corn.

Transfer the ribs to a cutting board and cut between the ribs into desired sections. Slather the corn with butter and sprinkle with salt, and enjoy!
