Tickled Pink Meritage Rose 2019
Summertime: picnics; sun-baked days at the beach; the scent of meats grilling over hot coals; so what about trying something a little different this summer - like a delicious, dry, Bordeaux-style rosé wine.
Serve chilled at about 55°F and after opening the bottle and pouring everyone their first glass, do not place it on ice, instead let the bottle sit on the table and experience the wine’s aroma and character change slightly as the temperature rises.
Tickled Pink can go with almost any type of food, but is perfect when paired with burgers, grilled fish, lamb or sausage.
Light pink in color, Tickled Pink Rosé exudes aromas of cotton candy which tricks you into thinking it will taste sweet - but no - in the mouth it is wonderfully dry and very expansive covering the entire palate with ripe strawberries, raspberries, cranberries and blackcurrants - tons of rich, round, velvety flavor that lasts and lasts.
An impressive rose wine made from a combination of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Merlot juice removed from the skins after minimal contact and then naturally fermented at a low temperature allowing the true style and personality of the grapes to shine through in the wine.
Some new French oak with the majority being neutral Burgundy barrels.
