Tango Malbec 2016

Flavor and power are entwined - pure on the palate - juicy with a wealth of fruit and light, velvety tannin.

Tango has the power to manage powerful flavors such as rib eye steak with a peppercorn sauce but go ahead and savor the wine alone in the largest wine glass you have. You're worth it!

The main fruit flavors of our Malbec are blackberry, plum and black cherry. The nuanced flavors offer some milk chocolate, cocoa powder, violet flowers, leather with a slightly sweet tobacco finish.

Because of the bold flavors and richness, many tasters believe we made heavy use of oak but that is just Malbec.

Without the long lingering finish of Cabernet this Malbec works well with leaner red meats like venison as well as any spicy foods.

The near-perfect 2016 Napa growing season started early, saw ideal weather conditions throughout and wrapped up as Napa Valley's first significant rain came in mid-October.

Thanks to a relatively steady and mild July and August and then a series of warm days at the end of the growing season, our Stagecoach vineyards were able to progress to perfect ripeness.
