Tango Malbec 2014

Following our heritage of Gold Medals for Tango Malbec this wine shows tremendous flavors and a rich softness that hides its true power.

Tango has the power to manage powerful flavors such as rib eye steak with a peppercorn sauce but go ahead and savor the wine alone in the largest wine glass you have. You're worth it!

The main fruit flavors of Malbec are blackberry, plum and black cherry. The nuanced flavors offer milk chocolate, cocoa powder, violet flowers, leather with a slightly sweet tobacco finish.

Because of the bold flavors and richness, many tasters believe that it saw heavy use of oak but that is Malbec. Malbec doesn’t have a long lingering finish so it works well with leaner red meats like venison.

The early 2014 harvest yielded a high quality wine grape crop. We are all using words like quality, depth of flavor and excellent to describe the 2014 vintage.

Grown at higher elevation with a wide diurnal temperature shift (hot days and cold nights) make the grapes produce higher acidity which helps the wine to age longer in the bottle.

Life is good with perfect weather, abundant crop and good fortune among the descriptions our fellow winemakers here are using.
