Tango Malbec 2012

Following our heritage of Gold Medals for our Tango Malbec this wine shows tremendous flavors and a rich softness that hides its true power. Tango has the power to manage powerful flavors such as rib eye steak with a peppercorn sauce but go ahead and savor the wine alone in the largest wine glass you have. You're worth it!

Dense and inky dark, with a full-bodied richness Tango offers a powerful, heady and generous palate, layered with raisin, licorice, blackberry, black plums, mulberries and more.

These plush flavors support a smooth, sensual wine. The mouthfeel is fabulous with a hint of chocolate and integrated spice, all showing finesse to finish as smooth as silk.

An awesome long finish of mocha and molten black fruit with a sensitive tannin structure, inviting another taste of this magnificent wine.

A classic vintage from start to finish. Textbook conditions in 2012 saw near-ideal spring bud break, steady flowering, even fruit set, and a lengthy stretch of warm days and cool and often foggy nights during the long summer months.

Late and light rains held off until our wine grapes found optimal ripeness, bringing exceptional quality to the crush pad and into the cellar.

The abundance of perfectly ripe grapes with a smooth balance of acids and sugars provided the opportunity to cull only the most select fruit, intentionally farming to lower yields bringing only the very best grape to harvest that results in wines acclaimed for their high quality in the bottle.

French Oak for 22 months, approximately 40% new, 40% one use and the balance neutral.

Production = 100 cases. No allergens were used in the making of this wine.
