Indulge Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

This wine was Bill's indulgence in making yet another incredible Cabernet from our Dry Creek Valley estate fruit.

Indulge is largely Dry Creek Valley Estate Vineyard fruit with a touch of mountain Cabernet Sauvignon fruit. Each vineyard lot is picked at optimal ripeness and made into a standalone wine then Bill creates a blend to indulge his pallet for fine wine with character and flavor.

A substantial mountain Cabernet with cedar, leather and pine on the nose followed by a beautiful palate showing lovely black fruit with touches of bramble.

A very pleasant density and texture in the mouth ending with finely grained tannin. Indeed an age-worthy wine.

Grown over 1,200 feet up in the coastal mountains of Northern Sonoma County the fruit takes time to ripen. Higher elevation areas like this with a wide temperature shifts from hot days to cold nights make the grapes produce higher acidity which helps the wine to age longer in the bottle.

The early 2014 harvest yielded a high quality wine grape crop. We are all using words like quality, depth of flavor and excellent to describe the 2014 vintage. Life is good with perfect weather, abundant crop and good fortune among the descriptions our fellow winemakers here are using.

French Oak for 22 months, approximately 40% new, 40% one use and the balance neutral.
