Enchant Trinity is a deeply delicious wine blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre in the style of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, an appellation in the southern Rhône wine region which produces blended wines with rich fruit flavors, intense floral aromas together with hints of herbs and spices.
A good Châteauneuf-du-Pape is first and foremost a wine-lover's wine for which it has become famous; first in France, then in Australia where it is called a GSM and finally in the USA courtesy of wine critic Robert Parker through his praise for these wines.
In the mouth, good weight, lots of fruit but elegant and complex with perfect soft tannin. The purity of fruit is otherworldly and the textures are extraordinarily silky, elegant and sensuous.
This is a great lunchtime wine, ready to drink now but will be fine in the cellar for seven to ten years.
Grenache provides a jam-like sweetness with warmth and mellowness.
Syrah provides both color and spice flavors.
Mourvèdre adds elegance and structure to the wine
The 2021 vintage was characterized by significant drought after very little winter rain and generally dry conditions.
The result was both lower yields and smaller berries across all varieties and the wines all show greater flavor concentration, natural intensity and good ageing potential.
