Enchant Trinity 2010

There is a small French village that produces a wine-lover's wine. Châteauneuf-du-Pape is an appellation in the southern Rhône wine region which produces blended wines with rich fruit flavors, intense floral aromas together with hints of herbs and spices.

Enchant TRINITY is our name for this deeply delicious red wine blended from Grenache - providings a jam-like sweetness with warmth and mellowness, Mourvèdre - adding elegance and structure to the wine and Syrah - providing both color and spice flavors.

These three varieties combine to produce a wine much more enchanting than each of them separately, hence our name "TRINITY" meaning "one+one+one".

Bill describes the sensation of drinking this wine as similar to sitting in a big, old overstuffed sofa - comfortable and luxurious!

As far as foods, this wine will work with just about anything but especially winter comfort foods like beef stews, corned beef and cabbage, casseroles, lamb shank soup, etc.

Highly aromatic nose with a fruit cake fruit mix. In the mouth a really nice texture with lovely forward lush plum turning into a soft honey-like finish. An extremely drinkable wine.
The 2010 grape harvest was challenging with a wet spring followed by a late bud break and then a long, cool growing season that ended with a heat spike bringing the grapes to a quick maturity. As expected this gave us slightly lower sugars with higher acids and deep colors and flavors. The season caused us a lot more time in the vineyard trimming fruit or pulling leaves to assure full fruit maturity and lower than normal yields. We ended up with remarkable quality of fruit throughout our range of vineyards which led to a more restrained, elegant style of wine.
