Cherish, a Right Bank style red wine created from our California vineyards, a blend inspired by Château Cheval Blanc.

Cherish is a testament to the estate's commitment to quality and our unique terroir selections. With Napa Cabernet Franc and Sonoma Merlot this is a classic wine which seamlessly blends power and elegance.

Whether enjoyed young for the vibrant fruit and freshness or aged for the developed complexity, this wine offers a remarkable tasting experience.

Cherish, a California blend inspired by the wines of Château Cheval Blanc.

  • Appearance: Deep and intense ruby to purple in youth, softening to garnet and brick hues with age.

  • Nose: Highly perfumed and complex with ripe red and black fruits such as cherry, plum, blackberry and cassis. There is a distinctive floral lift of violet and iris together with an earthy herbal freshness from the Cabernet Franc of mint, graphite, tobacco leaf. With age: will appeat truffle, leather, cedar, cigar box, and spice.

  • Palate: Plush, velvety texture with seamless tannins - rich and layered yet never heavy and so balances opulence with elegance. There is a dark fruit core with savory herbal and earthy undertones.

  • Finish: pleasantly medium to full body with a long, graceful, and aromatic finish.

  • Ageing Potential: 20+ years, in its youth it is fruit-forward, perfumed and fresh while with some maturity it develops more savory, earthy, and silky, with complex secondary and tertiary notes.

The result is a wine that is both opulent and refined, with a velvety texture and a long, elegant finish. Decant for one hour or more. Tasting temperature: 65°F

Our 2023 wine vintage is being hailed as exceptional, potentially one of the best in recent memory, due to a combination of a long, cool growing season and ideal weather conditions allowing grapes to ripen slowly in balanced conditions. This resulted in plush, concentrated flavors, deep color, freshness, and strong tannic structure—ideal for long-lived wines.

Our Cherish Melange wines are celebrated for their harmonious balance, fine tannins, and a unique blend of power and finesse. The Cabernet Franc adds aromatic complexity and freshness, while Merlot provides richness and roundness. The result is a wine that is both opulent and refined, with a velvety texture and a long, elegant finish.

Following fermentation, the wine was transferred into new French oak barrels where malolactic fermentation took place.

All of the barrels come from French cooperages with whom we have had an association for over twenty years. Selected from two French forests, the wood is air dried and coopered over a five-year production period and finished with a special “toasting” suited to the delicate characteristics of our wines.

Only 280 cases produced. Our vineyards are farmed to the code of sustainable agriculture using traditional techniques, based on strict control of yields, manual harvests and numerous quality specific tasks that are carried out by hand throughout the year.

Little or no chemical fertilizers are used. Selection and planting of cover crops and their return to the soil provides additional organic nutrients allowing our vines to reach an advanced age and produce outstanding grapes.

The Appellation is North Coast because we wanted to use the best grapes regardless of where they were grown.

In France, Cabernet Sauvignon does best on the Left Bank while Merlot and Cabernet Franc is better from the sandy clay soils of the Right Bank.

In California, Cabernet Sauvignon grows best in the heat of Napa’s mountains while Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec thrive in the slightly cooler, sandy clay soils of Sonoma.

When we mix these applications they become “North Coast.”
