Caress is a California version of a Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc delivering a haunting, complex, long-lived white wine.
Aromatic and dry - definitely not sweet - the aroma is like a bouquet of flowers and the flavor is of freshly sliced white peach and lime making Caress a very food-friendly wine.
In the glass an inviting golden color. On the nose a lovely fresh spring floral bouquet ending with a just a waft of honeysuckle.
In the mouth a nice hint of fruit flavor, perhaps white peach and honeydew melon.
This is a full-bodied white wine, typical of Southern Rhône in style. It's notes of lime and white peach makes Caress a very food-friendly wine.
This blend of 55% Viognier, 37% Roussanne and 8% Semillon is well proportioned so all the best flavor characteristics of each are revealed but non one dominates the palate.
