Caress Cuvee Blanc 2021
Caress is a California version of a Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc. It is a haunting, complex, long-lived white wine. It is aromatic and dry, with a bouquet of flowers and flavors of freshly sliced white peach and lime. It is a very food-friendly wine.
Caress Cuvée Blanc is a full-bodied white wine typical of Southern Rhône in style. It has an inviting golden color in the glass, a lovely fresh spring floral bouquet on the nose, and a nice hint of fruit flavor in the mouth, perhaps white peach and honeydew melon. Its notes of lime and white peach make it a very food-friendly wine.
Three beautiful white wines blended as a best-of-the-best cuvée to make a Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc style of white wine.
This blend of 55% Viognier, 37% Roussanne and 8% Semillon is well proportioned so all the best flavor characteristics of each are revealed but non one dominates the palate.
Some new French oak with the majority being neutral Burgundy barrels.
Caress Cuvee Blanc is a blend of three single vineyard wines which produced only 313 cases.
