Cheese Club October 2026

CHEESE CLUB GENERIC HEADER

A quartet of carefully chosen, handcrafted cheeses has been assembled to accompany the wines of October 2026, each one selected to flatter its partner in the glass and turn a simple tasting into a small but memorable feast.

Green Hill Camembert

Green Hill Camembert arrives beneath a delicate white rind, looking rather innocent. Give it time to warm and that innocence disappears. The center relaxes into something gloriously soft, creamy and almost spoonable.

Jenny's Tip: - Let Green Hill warm before serving and give it good crusty French bread - add crisp apple, honey, or a tart fruit jam and there is little more required.

Andante Pastoral

Pastoral is the sort of cheese that makes simplicity look clever. Fresh goat cheese, herbs and pink peppercorns—nothing unnecessary, nowhere for mediocre milk to hide.

Jenny's Tip: - Spread it generously over warm sourdough or a crusty baguette, perhaps with good olive oil and a few ripe tomatoes.

Grand Noir Blue Cheese

Grand Noir makes an entrance. Beneath its dramatic black wax lies a pale, buttery cheese threaded with dark blue veins—rich, creamy and considerably gentler than appearances suggest.

Jenny's Tip: - Crumble it over a salad of greens, pear and toasted walnuts. Melt it into a sauce for steak, spoon it over roasted mushrooms, or let it soften over a hot baked potato.

Ewephoria

The first bite brings butter and toasted nuts. Then comes caramel, butterscotch and a gentle savory depth, followed by those delightful little crystalline crunches that make aged cheese so difficult to stop eating.

Jenny's Tip: - Makes a decidedly grown-up grilled cheese, melts beautifully over a burger, and adds character to savory tarts and gratins.
