Oven Roasted Riblets

Baked in the oven these tender bite-sized riblets are a simple and inexpensive cut from a rack of ribs. Glazed with our special sauce they are a perfect compliment to a glass of Shiraz.

  • Riblets or Baby Back Ribs  ·  3 pounds
  • BBQ sauce, any type you like  ·  2 cups
  • Brown Sugar  ·  1 tablespoon
  • Paprika  ·  2 teaspoons
  • Worcestershire  ·  2 tablespoons
  • Rice Wine Vinegar  ·  3 tablespoons
  • Vegetable Oil  ·  1/4 cup
  • Herbie's American Spicy BBQ  ·  3 tablespoons

Pre heat the oven to 450 degrees.

In a large bowl combine Herbie's American Spicy BBQ Spice, brown sugar, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, vegetable oil, and rice wine vinegar. Season the riblets well with salt and pepper separately before add the rub. Then add the riblets to to the bowl and mix with your hands to ensure they are completely coated with all the spices.

Place the riblets on a baking sheet lined with foil. Cook for 15 min at 450 degrees until they are nicely browned. Then turn the oven down to 350 degrees and cook for 2 hours. After 1 hour, about halfway through the cook time, flip and toss the riblets so everything cooks evenly.

After 2 hours, pull the riblets out and cover in BBQ Sauce, add them back to the oven and cook for another 15 min or until they have a nice glaze or sheen to them.

Serve them up on a platter with some more BBQ sauce and enjoy with a glass of Williamson Wines Shiraz.
