Old-vine, dry-farmed estate vineyard Zinfandel
The 2019 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel shows up with purpose. Deep ruby in the glass, no hesitation.
On the nose, it’s direct—ripe blackberry, black cherry, and a hit of briar, backed by a trace of cracked pepper. Classic Dry Creek signature. No excess, just concentration.
The palate follows through. Dark fruit drives the front, supported by a thread of spice and a touch of warm earth. There’s enough acidity to keep it moving, enough structure to keep it in line. The finish is firm, carrying notes of black fruit, pepper, and a hint of toasted oak.
This is Zinfandel built with control—ripe, but not loose. Approachable now, but with enough backbone to hold together over time.
It is a rapturous wine with a bright bouquet of roses and cinnamon. It shines with brilliant cherry-red clarity.
This estate-grown, dry-farmed, old vine Zinfandel is supple, luxurious, and thoroughly engaging and has been so since the day it was bottled!
It is of medium weight with a lingering finish. Heavily spiced or overly acidic foods do not pair well with this elegant beauty. We actually enjoy this irresistible wine on its own, before and after dinner.
