Old-vine, dry-farmed estate vineyard Zinfandel
This racy, garnet hued wine with notes of licorice and rose petals on the nose giving way pomegranate with a touch of red cherry in the mouth, then ending in a soft pepper flavor so typical of our dry farmed vineyard. The French and American oak are restrained.
This Zinfandel shows most generously when poured, (not necessarily decanted), an hour or two before drinking. You can enjoy it with many meat and cheese dishes that are not overly seasoned. It pairs especially well with turkey, duck, ham and mild sausages.
