Howell Mountain Cabernet - dark, structured and commanding—with the elegance to reward patience. Dark cassis, blackberry and wild blueberry unfold into layers of graphite, cedar, fresh tobacco and warm mountain herbs.
On the palate, concentrated fruit meets vibrant acidity and finely grained mountain tannins, creating a wine that is powerful without being heavy, structured without being harsh, and remarkably elegant from the first sip through the long, lingering finish.
The higher elevation and volcanic, well-drained soils help produce Cabernet with smaller berries, thicker skins, intense color and pronounced tannins. The result is generally more structured and savory than many valley-floor Napa Cabernets.
French Oak for 22 months, approximately 40% new, 40% one use and the balance neutral.
