Sultry Cabernet Franc 2024

Few varieties on Earth are as recognizable as Cabernet Franc.

With its fine texture, its mid-level depth and pungency there are very few bottled as single varietals as we have done with Sultry which pairs beautifully with herb-crusted lamb, grilled vegetables, or charcuterie, where it complements savory preparations.

Sultry starts with an inviting deep ruby to garnet red color, with violet hues around the rim.

The nose is stunning! It has an abundance of elegant red and dark fruit aromas including raspberry, blackcurrant, and plum with floral elements like violet and rose petals and subtle spice notes of black pepper and dried herbs.

In the mouth Sultry shows medium body with elegant structure, bright acidity that provides freshness and softer, more refined tannins compared to Cabernet Sauvignon.

There are flavors of red cherry, raspberry, and blackberry with secondary flavors of a mineral quality, full, rich and satisfying and just to make things interesting, a hint of herbal and mineral notes that add a beautiful complexity to its profile.

A drop dead gorgeous wine with amazing intensity and purity of aromas Sultry is a fine-toned, red-fruited wine built on poise, not power.

Napa Cabernet Franc tends to be riper and more fruit-forward than versions from cooler climates like Loire Valley, with the herbaceous characteristics being more integrated rather than dominant. The warm Napa climate allows for full ripeness while maintaining the grape's characteristic elegance and aromatic complexity.

French Oak for 22 months, approximately 40% new, 40% one use and the balance neutral.

Only 94 cases produced. Our vineyards are farmed to the code of sustainable agriculture using traditional techniques, based on strict control of yields, manual harvests and numerous quality specific tasks that are carried out by hand throughout the year.

Little or no chemical fertilizers are used. Selection and planting of cover crops and their return to the soil provides additional organic nutrients allowing our vines to reach an advanced age and produce outstanding grapes.
