Stagecoach Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Single-vineyard, single-varietal Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from our legendary block of volcanic soil in the famous "Stagecoach" vineyard high above Stags Leap in the Atlas Peak sub-appellation of Napa Valley.
Stagecoach Vineyard defines "Napa Cabernet Sauvignon". Growing well above the fog line, our vineyard block KB3A is drenched in sunlight from daybreak to sunset producing fruit of opulence and density.
The usual end of harvest celebration has been replaced with an overwhelming sense of gratitude. After a good season the wildfires came right as harvest was wrapping up in the valley, thankfully we had most of the grapes picked and safely in the winery which was not smoke affected.
This year’s harvest tested our winemaking experience and had us calling upon the knowledge from our sister wineries overseas to help us be ready for any issues but even with everything that has happened, this year’s vintage is excellent.
