A blended Cabernet Sauvignon from six of our Napa and Sonoma vineyards Seduce is an elegantly sensual Cabernet Sauvignon characterized by deep color, incredible flavors and a controlled tannic structure.

In making Seduce we wanted to develop a delicious, food-friendly, Cabernet Sauvignon - but not a beast.

It needed to be sufficiently elegant to be enjoyed alone, sip by sip, allowing its flavor nuances to unfold like an old world Cabernet that had been aged twenty five years.

It also needed to be a perfect pairing for a two inch thick T-bone with a herb and butter sauce.

A deep dark complex nose while in the mouth the promise made by the nose is fulfilled with complex layers of black fruit, cedar, herbs and spice all in just the right places ending with a hint of earthy truffle flavors and great tannin structure indicating its aging potential.

The style of this wine has remained refined over the years, offering suppleness and softness, establishing consistency over time.

Growing conditions in 2022 required careful vineyard irrigation and canopy management.

The lack of adequate winter rain together with frost in late April contributed to a lower-than-normal projected yield.

Minimal rainfall and high temperatures in early summer allowed for the fruit that successfully set in the spring to ripen quickly, and up to August moderate daytime temperatures and cool nights created excellent conditions.

However the 2022 harvest was fast-tracked by a heat wave which came as a bit of a surprise nevertheless all our varieties are showing excellent chemistries in the winery and getting grapes in a little early protects them from any further hot weather and the risk of wildfires.

French Oak for 22 months, approximately 50% new, 40% one use and the balance neutral.
Cases produced. = 939. No allergens were used in the making of this wine.
