Crisp, elegant, and quietly self-assured, this Sauvignon Blanc comes from one of the cooler corners of Dry Creek Valley—a place where the mornings linger just long enough to keep everything fresh and lively.
The first sip is rather a revelation: bright, vivid flavors that seem to wake up the palate, making it immediately clear why the French, with typical flair, refer to their finest examples as sauvage blanc—a “wild” white, though in the most charming and civilized sense.
It is a wonderfully accommodating companion at the table. A soft goat cheese or a slice of brie will do nicely, but it is equally at ease alongside sushi, Chinese dishes, or something simple like chicken or fish. In short, a wine that knows exactly how to behave, yet never feels the least bit predictable.
On the palate, the structure is defined. Crisp entry. Lime-driven acidity. A mineral backbone that holds the line and drives the finish. This is a wine built to pair—oysters, mussels, anything drawn from cold water where salinity and texture demand a response.
But the system holds on its own. The balance between acidity, fruit, and mineral is sufficient to operate without support.
It performs with food. It doesn’t require it.
The season demanded attention. A few well-timed spring rains, followed by extended warm periods, made canopy management critical. It was a year that rewarded precision. As harvest comes into view, all signs point to another exceptional vintage.
After more than thirty years of sustainable farming, our thirty-plus vineyards—spread across Sonoma and Napa—have become a remarkable study in diversity. Each site brings its own character, together forming one of the more compelling expressions of terroir in California.
No allergens were used in the making of this wine.
Our vineyards are cultivated according to the principles of sustainable agriculture, using traditional techniques, strict reduction and control of yields, manual harvests, and numerous hands-on only tasks throughout the year.
No chemical fertilizers are applied. Instead, carefully selected cover crops are planted and returned to the soil, providing organic nutrients that allow our vines to reach remarkable age and consistently produce outstanding grapes.
In the winery, nothing is added to alter flavor or color. Every wine is allowed to express its natural character, reflecting both the care of the vineyard and the integrity of the wines.
