Joy Sauvignon Blanc 2022

$39

Crisp and elegant - a great Sauvignon Blanc from one of the coolest vineyards in Dry Creek Valley.

The intense flavor of this delicious wine is captivating and you will instantly see why the French call their finest Sauvignon Blanc a "savage white!"

Perfect with soft goat cheese or brie but just as at home with Sushi, Chinese food or any chicken or fish dish.

Nice blond straw color in the glass while showing that soft grass and forest herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc nose.

In the mouth crisp with hints of grass and lime and expressing its trademark mineral and acidity that is looking to pair with oysters and mussels.

The flavor however, makes this very pretty wine great to enjoy all by itself.

Under a light marine layer, the wine grape harvest kicked off in Sonoma County early morning Friday August 19 in our Russian River Valley and Dry Creek Valley vineyards. The 2022 harvest was fast-tracked by a heat wave with a season that has started earlier than expected and yielded a smaller crop.

Our teams harvest at night to ensure the grapes arrive at the winery before the summer heat can find them in their half-ton bins. Across the range of varietals yields are a little low but the vine health is good. With the help of a couple of spring rains and long warm spells, 2022 required careful vineyard canopy management and now we are looking at another exceptional vintage.

After thirty years of sustainable grape growing our collection of twenty three vineyards scattered across Sonoma and Napa represents one of the most diverse examples of terroir in California.

Some new French oak with the majority being neutral Burgundy barrels for seven months.
Joy Sauvignon Blanc is from a single vineyard which produced only 400 cases.
