Intrigue is a Cabernet-dominant Left Bank–style red wine blend, similar in structure to Bordeaux blends from Pauillac or Margaux and crafted from our California vineyards to honor the legendary Château Haut-Brion.
A wine of depth and quiet intrigue, revealing new layers with every sip — much like the first “Claret” wines of Haut-Brion once intrigued the world, sparking a deep appreciation for fine Bordeaux and establishing the world’s first luxury wine brand.

The bouquet is truly beautiful, offering layered notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and a subtle hint of ash — all unfolding gracefully in a single, captivating breath.
On the palate, the wine reveals smooth, well-structured tannins, striking a perfect balance between power and elegance. It’s full-bodied and luscious, carrying richness and depth from the first sip to a long, satisfying finish.
We rely on little or no chemical fertilizers. Instead, carefully selected cover crops are planted and returned to the soil, enriching it with organic nutrients. This natural approach allows our vines to reach an advanced age and consistently produce outstanding grapes.
In France, Cabernet Sauvignon thrives on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, while Merlot and Cabernet Franc prefer the sandy clay soils of the Right Bank. In California, Cabernet Sauvignon finds its best expression in the heat of Napa’s mountain vineyards, while Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec flourish in the slightly cooler, sandy clay soils of Sonoma.
When we blend these elements together, they become North Coast appellation .
