Heritage Shiraz 2011
This smooth, rich wine will work well with most foods allowing you to add your own special blend of herbs and spices. Imagine a roasted pork loin well seasoned with garlic and onions. Try this with bratwurst, spicy lamb dishes and cold meats with chutney but for a special treat pair it with BarBQ pork spare ribs with a smokey BarBQ sauce.
Dark plum in the glass with rich aromas of blackberries, cherries, and vanilla that are very inviting. After decanting for around an hour, the wine shows intense flavors of dark berries with smooth silky tannins. This Shiraz is voluptuous with a smooth finish of black pepper and lingering vanilla. A very elegant Shiraz.
With plenty of tannin to foster aging, the wine is still not too aggressive to be enjoyed immediately, but will definitely benefit from some more time in the bottle.
