Embrace Grenache is a Burgundian inspired Châteauneuf-du-Pape style wine; finesse-driven, with balanced spice and cranberry character making it pleasing and lightly structured with a mouth feel that calls for more.
Grenache is often described as being like Pinot Noir with a little touch of spice and this wine embraces the concept.
A very nice red wine for summer with pork loin or chicken breast flavored with fruit garnishes, jams or flavored mustard.
In the mouth, a hint of the nice cranberry fruit with subtle light pepper then embracing the palate with a medium-bodied richness, a seamless, elegant mouthfeel, silky tannins, and outstanding length.
Soft, full-bodied and easy-drinking, Embrace shows aromas of raspberry and strawberry supported by light earthy hints of white pepper.
The lack of adequate winter rain together with frost in late April contributed to a lower-than-normal projected yield.
Minimal rainfall and high temperatures in early summer allowed for the fruit that successfully set in the spring to ripen quickly, and up to August moderate daytime temperatures and cool nights created excellent conditions.
However the 2022 harvest was fast-tracked by a heat wave which came as a bit of a surprise nevertheless all our varieties are showing excellent chemistries in the winery and getting grapes in a little early protects them from any further hot weather and the risk of wildfires.
