Herbes de Humboldt

United States

Herbs de Humboldt is made using a hand-blended mix of Herbs de Provence that is applied to the exterior of the fresh goat cheese. The earthy hand-mixed blend of Herbs de Provence creates a simple yet perfect balance.

All of the herbal flavors you love, dried at the peak of the season to deliver a classic, herbal flavored fresh cheese. Flavors are earthy, floral and delicately herbaceous.

The earthy taste of a hand-mixed blend of Herbs de Provence balanced simply, yet perfectly.  Its flavor is a pure, fresh, super-tangy goat cheese mixed with a subtle combination of mellowing herbs.  It is wonderful on its own but be careful of it overwhelming other cheeses on your plate.  It will stand out in a salad or used in any recipe calling for fresh goat cheese.

Crumble atop any pizza or spoon into a fresh fig, wrap in a single slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick grill and baste with balsamic reduction.

Remove your cheese from the refrigerator at least one hour before serving.

All fresh goat cheese should be kept as cold as possible without freezing (33 ̊–35 ̊F). To open the cheeses wrapped in cryovac, simply cut around the edge with kitchen shears and lift off the top and bottom of the package. If you have a bit left, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and place in the coldest part of your refrigerator. Opened cheese will last 7-10 days stored at 38-42 degrees in your refrigerator. Bring the portion you plan to serve to room temperature to enjoy the depth of flavor.

The cheese won first place at the ACS 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2009, second place at U.S. Cheese Championships 2005 and Silver at World Cheese Awards 2014.
