Caress Cuvee Blanc 2010

Magnificent nose and delicious full mouth feel. If you liked Pinot Gris before once you taste Caress you will never go back to PG.

Because of its unique flavor profile, Caress is actually a very food-friendly wine, making it a great choice when contemplating foie gras, oysters, lobster or crab, butter or cream based sauces, curries and both Asian and Indian food in general.

For a incredible dessert poach pears in a little Caress with a spoon of sugar and serve with white chocolate, Crème fraîche and vanilla ice cream. Fabulous!

WINE CLUB RECIPE: Wine Poached Pears

Wow! Take five minutes to just savor the nose of this bright, vibrant golden wine. Its aromatic profile ranges from subtle fruit like candied peach, honeyed apricots, or quince with a honeysuckle floral note and a little spice. Really a deceptive wine, with such a perfumed nose, you might think it’s going to be slightly sweet but no, it’s actually dry with a peach, apricot and tropical fruit flavors with a long, lingering, sensual finish.
Caress 2010 is white wine blend of Roussanne and Semillon from Bill with a magnificent nose and delicious full mouth feel. Blended together these two form a Cuvée, a mixture containing an incredible breadth and depth of aroma and taste. Unbelievable! Roussanne is a white wine grape originally grown in the Rhône wine region in France, where it is often blended with other Rhône wines. Wines made from Roussanne are characterized by their intense aromatics which can include floral notes of herbs and fruit such as pear, which become more nutty as the wine ages. Sémillon is a golden-skinned grape used to make dry and sweet white wines. Sémillon is one of only three approved white wine varieties in the Bordeaux region where it is key to the production of Sauternes.
