A bright and lively color, what a beauty! The aromas of this beautiful Beaunoise evoke black fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry), red fruit (cherry, redcurrant), undergrowth, humus and with age, truffle, leather and spices. On the palate, this First Cru is elegant with melted tannins.

Food and wine pairings: Generous, this Premier Cru shows great aromatic power and a fleshy texture, which predestines it for meats, such as game, roasted or braised. Beef "Bourguignon", duck breast, etc.

For cheese, choose Camembert or other Creme de Burgoon soft cheeses such as soumaintrain, munster and maroilles.

Serving temperature: between 15 C° and 18 C°.

Les Vignes Franches is a Beaune Premier Cru vineyard in the French wine region of Burgundy, mostly planted to Pinot Noir. This block is located next to the renowned Clos des Mouches in Côte Chalonnaise which lies to the south and enjoys the same exquisite terroir as its famous neighbor the Côte d'Or.

In Les Vignes Franches the average vine age is 35 years planted in clay and limestone soil, hand picked and manually sorted to select only the finest fruit for this wine which then matures in French oak barrels for 18 months.
