Allure is a Meritage, a seamless blend of the Nobel 5 Bordeaux varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc but with not one varietal dominating.
In the mouth, layers of flavor, some delicate and some rushing forward in an attempt to dominate, but then it becomes smooth across the tongue and becomes a fabulous lingering palate memory, inviting you to take another taste.
The 2012 harvest yielded generous amounts of high quality fruit. Moderate weather throughout the growing season put little pressure on the vines, and provided grapes with well-balanced chemistry. The 2012 harvest made up for the low yielding 2011 crush, with most varieties picking at above average yields and very high quality. 2012 has been as close to a "perfect vintage" as we've seen in quite some time.
French Oak for 22 months, approximately 40% new, 40% one use and the balance neutral.
