2022 Grape Harvest Begins

We are excited to announce the start of the 2022 wine grape harvest in Sonoma, with grape picks of Gertie Gewürztraminer taking place in the Russian River Valley and Joy Sauvignon Blanc in Dry Creek Valley.

This 2022 harvest marks the 20th anniversary for Williamson Wines since we opened our winery in 2002. Our team is eager to begin harvest to ensure our 2022 white grape harvest yields perfect grapes for these vibrant and fresh styles of wines.

Our teams harvest at night to ensure the grapes arrive at the winery before the summer heat can find them in their half-ton bins.

Yields look to be a little low but the vine health looks to be good with the help of a couple of spring rains and long warm spells so we are looking at another exceptional vintage.

After thirty years of sustainable grape growing our collection of twenty three vineyards scattered across Sonoma and Napa represents one of the most diverse examples of terroir in California.

From these diverse vineyards the resultant portfolio of almost fifty wines, incredibly all going direct to our wine club members, is also most impressive and we look forward to the next twenty years.
