Fling Tempranillo

Tempranillo, one of the most famous of Spain's native grapes, is a vibrant, aromatic varietal that offers spicy, red fruit aromas and flavors. The grape's name translates to "little early one," referring to the fruit's early ripening tendency.

Medium bodied with a ripe and enticing taste. The blackberry and cherry fruit spices dance on the palate finishing with more acid than tannin. Remarkably concentrated with a great aging potential.

The ripe, soft tannin together with decent acidity give it a perky, active finish with just a creamy hint of our French Oak aging which increased the normal Tempranillo complexity and harmony.

Tempranillo, the noble red of Spain’s Rioja, is a vibrant, aromatic varietal that offers spicy, red fruit aromas and flavors.

A great lunch-in-the-sunshine wine this is definitely an everyday drinking wine to pair with simple meats like chicken, leg of lamb, and pork loin. Will work with bolder meat dishes like duck or an aged cheese like Manchego or Idiazabal. Works with similar foods to Pinot Noir but can go further into bigger flavors.

Fling ~ a short period of enjoyment or wild behavior, like making a beautiful Tempranillo for only two years.
