Blended Wines

One of the highest levels of art a winemaker can achieve is to take existing wines and, through thoughtful blending, produce a beautiful new wine which shows all of the finest characteristics of its components in a totally new, balanced and integrated wine.

The blended nature of these wines does not qualify for varietal status so they can legally only be called "red wine" or "white wine". In typically Australian larrikin fashion, the custom of assigning nicknames to friends has been extended to these wines.
